MKN, the Wolfenbüttel specialist for professional cooking technology is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. Due to an intensive product offensive and continuous process development the company has expanded rapidly in recent years. Innovative products such as the MKN combi steamer, FlexiCombi and the multifunctional FlexiChef equipped with the first automatic cleaning system for pans are enjoying exceptional success all around the world. Prestigious awards such as the Dr. Georg Triebe Award from the German Consultant Association or the Internorga Future Award demonstrate the innovative strength of these appliances.

Renowned starred chefs such as Johann Lafer, Paul Bocuse and Anton Mosimann all cook with innovative MKN technology. Whether in the Burj Khalifa in Dubai with the world’s highest restaurant, the Sydney Opera House, on the Queen Mary 2 cruise ship or at London Heathrow Airport, customers around the globe put their trust in MKN.

In the last few years the company has also invested intensively to optimize internal processes. A new production hall has been built which accommodates a state-of-the-art stainless steel processing line. So, the MKN company premises have now been extended to 80 000 m2. On the occasion of the anniversary the company grounds were turned into a huge party location for 2 000 guests and employees and their families enjoyed a great family celebration. There were certainly enough reasons to celebrate, as shortly before MKN closed its business year with new record sales figures.
