Mein Schiff 1, the fifth newbuilding of Hamburg based TUI Cruises from Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland, will offer a series of eight and 10 night cruises from Kiel from 19 May 2018, when the ship will enter service.

In September of the same year, the ship will be deployed in the Canary Islands, from where it will offer two seven night itineraries to the Atlantic islands and Morocco.

In the summer of 2018, four of the company’s ships will operate in northern Europe and for the first time, TUI Cruises will offer sailings in the Mediterranean from Trieste. The two seven night itineraries can be combined to a 14 night cruise.

Mein Schiff 1 will replace the present holder of the same name in the TUI Cruises fleet. The present ship will be transferred to Thomson Cruises, a British unit of the TUI AG group. Its new name has not been disclosed as yet.
