Meyer Turku, the Finish cruise ship builder, as decided to increase its investment programme to €185 million from an earlier plan of €75 million, the company said in a statement.

The additional investment includes the purchase and installation of a new sheet metal production line, a corrugated metal fabrication line and certain ancillary equipment plus a hybrid panel fabrication line that uses laser technology.

Mika Heiskanen, Head of Hull Production said that the now decided investment would allow the shipyard to increase its production capacity and turn it into a modern assembly facility that is among the most efficient ones in the world.
