The Port of Southampton on the south coast of the UK will handle 430 cruise ship calls this year, a new record, the Southampton Daily Echo newspaper reports on its website.
The figure has reached 350 to 360 in recent years.
Most of the calls at the port, which belongs to Associated British Ports plc, are turnaround calls as Southampton is the most important cruise port in the country.
