Foreship, the Finnish consultant naval architects, have opened an office in Rauma on the west coast of Finland appointed a head of its ferry design business, the company said in a statement.
The opening of the office in Rauma is part of the company’s strategic growth plan in the area of ferry and specialised vessel design.
The company has appointed Ari Huttunen to head the ferry design business area. He joins Foreship from the position of head of project design department and sales manager at STX Finland Rauma and he has more than 20 years’ experience in the field.
STX Finland will close its Rauma yard down later this year.
