Britannia, the eight ship in the fleet of P&O Cruises, will be named at an event in Southampton on 10 March next year.

With an estimated gross tonnage of 143,000, it will be the largest ship in the fleet of the company. It will sail on its maiden voyage on 14 March. Like all ships of P&O Cruises, the ship will be registered in Bermuda and fly the British flag.

P&O Cruises is part of Carnival Corp & plc, the world's largest cruise shipping company.
