Capacity restrictions for cruise ships sailing from ports in England will be lifted and cruise ships will be allowed to use potts in Scotland from 19 July as Covid-19 restrictions will be lifted.
Since cruising was allowed to resume in England on 17 May, ships have been allowed to sail with a maximum of 1,000 passengers or 50% of capacity, whichever is the lower figure, to allow social distancing onboard. As restrictions will be lifted on 19 July, this limitation will also be axed.
Meanwhile, domestic cruises in the UK can expand to include calls at Scottish ports from the same date, various media reports say.
