Royal Caribbean International’s highly anticipated Icon of the Seas begins its second and last round of sea trials, one of the final construction milestones. For several days on the open ocean, the first-of-its-kind vacation will be pushed to the limit ahead of its January 2024 debut in Miami. Teams of experts will test everything, from the six record-breaking waterslides and seven pools to the first waste-to-energy plant at sea and the engines’ top speeds.
